Are all your lights weatherproof?
Yes, every light we sell is either IP44 or IP65 weather resistant, meaning rain, hail or shine, they'll be shining bright every day.
If your lights ever stop working, just remember they are backed by our lifetime replacement guarantee. Simply reach out to our support team here if you ever have any issues with your lights.
Where can I use the lights?
Anywhere that gets sunlight during the day. Your backyard, front yard, driveway, veggie patch or any outdoor paths around your home. As long as the solar panel for the lights gets sun during the day, they'll turn on automatically at night.

What happens if the lights stop working?
All SolaGarden lights have a lifetime replacement warranty. If they stop working, just send us an email and we'll replace them free of charge.
What are your best selling lights?
The Festoon lights have been our best sellers for years now. They are brighter and more durable than any other solar festoon lights on the market and our customers love them.
Can I use The Festoon Lights in the rain, or do I need to bring them inside?
No need to bring them in! The Festoon Lights have an IP65 waterproof rating, so they're built to handle wet weather. You can leave them out in the rain on your patio, deck or pergola without worrying. That said, the solar panel will charge best on dry, sunny days, so positioning it where it catches plenty of sun is key.
How are these powered? Do I need to plug them into mains power?
You've got two options. The Festoon Lights run on solar power via the included solar panel, or you can charge them using a 5V 1A USB charger. Solar charging takes around 6–8 hours of good sunlight, while a USB charge takes about 4 hours. Once charged, the lights switch on and off automatically, so there's no fiddling with timers.
How long is the string, and how many bulbs do I get?
The full lighted length is 48 ft (15 metres) with 15 sockets and 15 LED bulbs included, plus 1 spare bulb just in case. The bulbs sit 92cm apart, and there's 184cm of cord from the plug to the first bulb, giving you plenty of room to position everything just how you like it.
Are there different lighting settings, or is it just on and off?
There are four lighting modes to suit the mood: quick flash, slow flash, stable light, and intermittent flash. For a dinner party or wedding, the stable warm white (2700K) setting gives that lovely nostalgic bistro glow, while the flash modes are handy for a bit of fun or for use as warning lights.
Do you sell replacement bulbs if I need extras down the track?
Absolutely! While each set comes with 15 bulbs plus 1 spare, we also stock replacement festoon bulbs separately in our store. So if you ever need to top up or swap one out after years of use, you can grab more without having to replace the whole string. The bulbs use an S14 fitting with an E27/E26 base, so they're an easy match.
What if something happens to the solar panel—can I just replace that part?
Yes, you can! We stock a replacement solar panel with a remote in our store, so there's no need to buy a brand-new set if your panel ever needs replacing. The added remote also gives you handy control over your lights, making it even easier to switch between modes and turn them on or off from a distance.
How quickly do I get my lights after I order?
Once you have placed an order, our team will carefully package your lights and ship them within 24-48 hours. To speed up delivery if your order contains different types of lights, you may sometimes receive them separately so we can get them to you as fast as possible.
Your lights will be sent via Australia Post, and then they should be safely in your patiently waiting hands within 3-7 business days.
As soon as your order is sent you will receive a shipping confirmation email from us complete with a tracking number so you can follow its journey.
How much do I pay for shipping?
All orders include FREE and fast delivery Australia-wide, no matter how many lights you order.
How do I track my order?
After we pass your order to Australia Post, we will send you a shipping confirmation email which will have a ‘Track Order’ button. This will take you directly to the Australia Post site so you can follow the live tracking updates!
Haven’t received your shipping confirmation email yet? Check your spam folder too (it may have ended up there).
If I don't like the lights, can I return them?
Sadly, we know that sometimes our SolaGarden lights are just not quite the right fit for some people. You can certainly return your lights to us for a full refund, provided it is returned within 100 days.
*Please note: Not all items are eligible for return. Any exclusions will be called out on product pages and / or at checkout. All SolaGarden lights must be returned in as new condition, with any tags and the original box.
